Flo period tracker privacy settlement overview
Frasco, et al. v. Flo Health Inc., et al. concerns allegations that software development kits embedded in the Flo Period & Ovulation Tracker app transmitted menstruation or pregnancy information and related identifiers to third parties without adequate consent. Flo Health, Google, and Flurry deny wrongdoing and dispute the allegations.
The proposed settlements provide a combined $59.5 million fund: $48 million from Google, $8 million from Flo Health, and $3.5 million from Flurry. The court granted preliminary approval for the current claim process, but final approval is still pending. Meta is not part of these settlements.
Who may qualify
The official claim form asks a claimant to certify that, at some time during the covered period, they lived in the United States and entered menstruation and/or pregnancy information into the Flo app. A person must also be part of the class and must not have previously excluded themselves.
They lived in the United States during the relevant use of the app.
They used the Flo Period & Ovulation Tracker app between November 1, 2016 and February 28, 2019.
They entered menstruation and/or pregnancy information into the app during that period.
They did not previously opt out of the settlement class.
The administrator, not Rewarded, decides whether a submission is valid. A person should review the full notice for exclusions, releases, definitions, and the effect of filing a claim.
How much could an eligible claimant receive?
Valid claimants may receive a pro rata share of the net settlement fund. The net fund is the combined settlement amount after court-approved attorneys’ fees, litigation expenses, administration costs, taxes, service awards, and any other authorized deductions.
The official materials do not guarantee a fixed per-person payment. The amount depends substantially on the number of valid claims and the final deductions approved by the court. Rewarded therefore leaves the numeric Estimated Payout field empty and uses the label Pro rata cash payment.
California subclass payment
Authorized California subclass claimants who provide reasonable documentation of California residency during the relevant period are allocated twice the pro rata share of other authorized claimants. The enhanced share is not automatic merely because a claimant currently lives in California.
Is proof required?
For the standard nationwide claim, the form requires identifying and contact information, the email address used with the Flo app, and a signed certification under penalty of perjury. It does not ask every claimant to upload purchase receipts or health records. Rewarded therefore categorizes the standard claim as No proof required.
Additional documentation matters for the enhanced California share. Claimants seeking that treatment should follow the notice’s instructions for reasonable proof of California residency. The administrator may also contact a claimant about an incomplete or inconsistent submission.

What the lawsuit is about
The plaintiffs allege that Flo incorporated third-party software tools into its app and that those tools transmitted sensitive reproductive-health information and device or advertising identifiers. The claims focus on alleged sharing by the app and its embedded services; this is not described as an outside hacker breaking into Flo’s systems.
The settling defendants deny the allegations and deny that they violated the law. A settlement is a negotiated resolution of disputed claims, not an admission of liability or a court finding that every allegation is true.
